Negative Adverbs

Adverbs of negation are those that are used to negate something that would appear to be positive if they were omitted. For example: no, nunca, jamás.

The structure of the language assumes that it is not necessary to affirm the positive of what did happen, while it is necessary to express the negative when it comes to facts that did not happen: negation adverbs become important, since their absence would make the sentence be understood exactly the other way around.
